Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) is proud to partner with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services through the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (N-MIECHV) program to offer Healthy Families America, an evidence-based home visitation service for families in our nine-county district.
Healthy Families America provides free and voluntary, relationship-based home visits beginning during pregnancy or early infancy and continuing until a child is three to five years of age. Families are supported by highly trained professionals who offer guidance, education, and encouragement to strengthen parent-child relationships, build confidence, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
This evidence-based program is built on a simple but powerful vision: that all children receive nurturing care from their family, leading to a healthy, successful life. Services are available to pregnant individuals and families with babies up to three months old who reside in Keith, Red Willow, Perkins, Chase, Dundy, Hayes, Hitchcock, Furnas, or Frontier counties.
